The sensitive Flowmeter provides a quick indication of a leak. A leak only 0.040” in diameter will read near the top of the meter. A 0.020” leak will read near the bottom. For smaller leaks, or to confirm a repair, a leak down (pressure decay) test can be performed. Let the ® Smoke Pro pressurize the system and then close the Flow Control Valve. Simply watch the Pressure Gauge for ® any loss. The Smoke Pro will not become obsolete if emission standards are tightened and leaks too small to register on the flowmeter trip EVAP codes!
